We do alot of custom orders over the internet and in person. A custom order is a special process, allowing me to help you realize your wishes and concepts for a treasure that is yours alone.
This is how it works.
First meeting involves you being as specific as you can about what you want. "My wife loves pink, so I was thinking about getting her a big, pink, heart-shaped stone in a ring." Or, "I am a GI in Afghanistan and I saw your pendant and want to order one for my girlfriend in Tennessee. " (true story!) I will ask you about sizes, color preferences, occupation, budget, deadlines. The more you tell me, the better.
If we decide we can work together, I ask for a $300, nonrefundable deposit as payment for time the time spent meeting with you, designing, searching for a gemstone that meets your criteria, sketching, revising, and either making or managing the project. This fee is nonrefundable if you cancel the project, but it is applicable to the final cost of your piece once we begin production.
Second, I begin the sketching and conceptualization process.
Third, I present the sketches to you, along with photos and specifications for any gemstones, and a total price.
Finally, I ask for a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of 50% and go to work. Custom orders are not refundable under any circumstances.
You will be able to approve any CAD models I generate and see photos at each stage production if you wish.
You can change your mind any time before the model production starts. If you decide not to go through with it, I retain the $300.
It's simple, it's fun, and I have made some wonderful things for some wonderful people. Many have become friends.
